SURGEON reacts to scrubs -- Do DOCTORS really act like that?
Просмотров 9976 месяцев назад
Scrubs is a classic show, but I think it really holds a lot of truths when it comes to life in the hospital. Medicine can be dramatic at times, but the human condition offers a lot of humour even in times of illness. Scrubs did an excellent job at showing both sides. I will admit I still find the humour in my daily medical practice. I think I learned a lot from this show and I am happy to share...

4 Ways to PREVENT Gallstones
Просмотров 1,6 тыс.7 месяцев назад
I talk a lot about gallbladder surgery as it really is the best option for most people who have developed gallstones and are having significant symptoms. That doesn't mean that you can't do things to prevent gallstones from forming in the first place. There are a number of natural options when it comes to your gallbladder health. I appreciate every comment. If you have any gallbladder-type ques...
SURGEON exposes the real Risks with hernia MESH
Просмотров 141 тыс.7 месяцев назад
Simply sewing tissues together to fix hernias rarely works. Hernias have been a problem in humankind since civilization formed and writing was possible. The advent of implantable meshes has resulted in real benefits for patients undergoing hernia operations. If you are having a hernia repair, more than likely, you will have a mesh implanted. Having a mesh implanted has its risks. I made a video...

Breaking Bad News - The SPIKES tool for DOCTORS
There are lots of law suites in America against mesh repair
I have had 2 repairs and one removal and new one implanted.( even though I said I didn’t want any, ever again). It ripped in less than one month, after surgery. Now no one will take it out! I am in pain, always. No one will help. They are worried about being responsible, for whatever is damaged in there.
Just had my hernia repair this past Tuesday, and it was extremely painful the first 3 days, but here I am day 4, and I’m able to walk around and stand up straight (with a belly binder). Despite the pain, I would go through this surgery verses dealing with an incarcerated/ strangulated bowel any day!!
After they remove my gallbladder i can i cant do a number 2 / pou is it normal im not constipation its been two days after surgery
Drs always say you dont need pain meds.
This doctor is lying about the mesh don't trust whatvhe says 😢
All I can say is thank you 🙏
Another option to avoid mesh - Dr. Tomas in Ft Myer Flordia. I’ve had two open mesh free surgeries. Very good experiences. Very little pain and good recovery. He seems to be very knowledgeable. First was 3 years ago. Best wishes.
Doctors hands won't stop moving made this video hard to watch....at least it was for me
Just got mine taken yesterday. If anyone has any tips or advice please help me
These days white coats are a symbol that you're an FMG or mid-level
Is it possible to remove it on your own? I don't trust doctors or anyone anymore. Mine needs out, but I wanna do it myself
I have an open full abdominal hernia repair in 5 days. I have had many abdominal surgeries and that is the cause of having several hernias all over my abdomen. Like I said, I have had at least 10 laparoscopic surgeries- some life threatening, but I am most scared about this one.
What tissues? How fast does he go all of a sudden man.
Why do you speak fast and unclearly all of a sudden ?
Had my gall bladder out June 13th. Have exact same symptoms now as i had before the surgery. Loud burps and diarrhea. Never had pain but was told that the gallbladder was inflamed, had gall stones, and was large with scar tissue. Not sure why i have the same symptoms after having it removed
I had a open iquinal/scrotal hernia mesh repair about three months ago and after walking about with a scrotum the size of a coconut for a year, I'm very happy with it. There’s still some internal inflammation in the area where the spermatic cord comes out of the mesh, but there’s no pain and very little discomfort.
Who are the best mesh removal surgeons? My body doesn't like them and I have had adhesions removed several times and the adhesions keep coming back.
Just had my GB removed yesterday, should I take bile salts?
I went to ER 3 weeks ago twice. And got sent home. Still excruciating pain. Took two weeks to find out gall stones. Referred two years ago with stones and now 2 years later still sent home. Can’t wait for the pain to go away 😢
Oh you are a liar!! It’s been almost 15 years and I have never been the same since!!! I am definitely looking into bile salts or enzymes bc this is a nightmare!!! My doctors gave me the same spiel you are giving and it was LIES!!! Stomach issues every day since it was removed!!! And other wonky issues like I get DRUNK with 2 drinks, then go urinate and I’m sober again… then the next day I am hungover!!! Off two drinks!!!!
if you have no copies then no differences then.. no evidences!!!
Can you help me I don't have money an I have an hernia
Yeah, one time I saw this girl get smashed over the head with this giant piece of wood by this huge dude, and immediately she put her hands and legs up like that, eyes rolled back with her mouth open and upper lip stretched down almost like she was making an O with her mouth. She immediately started like convulsing, sort of looked like a seizure, but she died right after.
I'd be super interested in a video explaining the damage caused by leg kicks especially to the knee, where the kick lands above or below the knee surely there is still some damage to the knee itself? Lowkick championships is a good reference.
You could say the same about boxing
I had did done twice last year I got to have the surgery again which would be the third time 😢
Hello I'm from Vietnam, I'm really grateful your shared videos about gallbladder. My doctor advised me to have a gallbladder surgery because my gallbladder had adenomyomatosis as well as gallstones (diagnosis based on ultrasound). What I'm very worried about is that adenomyomatosis has a similar morphology to gallbladder carcinoma. Is my case highly likely to be gallbladder carcinoma, and what percentage it could be? And if the bad luck is gallbladder carcinoma, will it easily metastasize to the liver or bile duct (I'm concerned about this so I can better mentally prepare for the surgery). Thanks again for your sharing. Wishing you lots of health and luck
Hello I'm from the USA. I wish you good luck and good health. I really hope you get the answers you need and that you can get well. Best of health to you. 💙
Have you ever read your people's testimonies.
i had my operation last year gallbladder by larascopy biopsy.
Power Slap is Dana White's money laundering scheme
Thank you dr , really needed to hear this!!
Well La de da
Wow what a crock of poop. Where to start with this lie. 1. PCS, up to 40% have PCS and will for LIFE. 2. SOD, sphincter OD dysfunction, another one that is in the 20%-40%. ERCP has its risks and then this patch only last 3-5 years and pain comes back . 3. Adhesions, 51.6% of the people have adhesions after surgery. I was one of those 51.6% of the people. 4. Scaring, yep you will have scaring under your liver and if your lucky like I was I have a 2nd belly button now in the middle of my chest because the surgeon said I did not need post antibiotics, spent 3.5 days in the hospital a week later from a ,assume infection. 5. Vitamin deficiency, yep you will no longer have enough concentrated bile to properly digest your fats, so goodbye to vitamin A, D, E, and omega 3. I am now low on all these post GB removal. 6. Liver, your liver now has to work harder, and let’s not forget NAFLD. You don’t change your diet and your liver is screwed. 7. Let’s not forget about the rest of your organs, that’s right campers, your body will pay the price for this. Lungs, heart, brain, kidneys, etc all need the proper things to work properly. You cannot remove an organ and expect to live normal, what they call normal and I call normal or way different. Maybe they mean perfectly normal for someone that no longer has a GB. Sorry but I am so upset I let my wife push me into this just because I had 2 flare ups, now I live in constant pain, much worse than before. Life now sucks…
University is over promised and under delivered. Everybody does it. It lost any and all value. Be you. Live.
Good information especially about the enzymes. I have been led to believe by friends that I needed enzymes after gallbladder removal.
My advice is to everyone, try and find a surgeon who is willing to try and save your gall bladder. Empty it from the stones and leave the bladder intact. It's harder for a surgeon but very important.
To the best of my knowledge, they can not simply remove the stones and leave your gallbladder. They have to take out the whole thing
@@beatrixbrennan1545 I'm not a surgeon. It's possible that they can't save it ever since. Mine was taken out 30 years ago. Noone since, gave me better answer than it's just easier. Back then I didn't mind because they said it won't make a difference. Well, my life revolves solely around the lack of gall bladder. Every aspect of my life for 30 years. I thought since then medics realised the long list of side effects and developed a better method of surgery. I had too many stones, they said that's why they couldn't save it. My mom had 1 big stone, they said to her that's why they couldn't. 2024 , not good enough.
Im removing it on Thursday,Im just nervous.I dont have gallstones,bt the bile is blocked,so it is swollen. They suggested a surgery.
But if you have to bring it first to the hospital, it may be too late by then.
I find you should eat a decent amount of fibre if you weren't already, otherwise you can eat whatever.
I had an emergency gallbladder removal two days ago. While I need to recover and it hurts, its leagues ahead of how it was when my gallbladdr was gangrenous.
Reconstructive surgery
it was very helpful
i got cancer from mesh
Would it be the silicon mesh that causes problems?!
I think drop our rate is high in US (yes there are exceptions)because they don’t get exposed to the specialties before residency like an internship year or something like that which is there in many countries like uk and Australia So they end up choosing wrong pathway and regret about it and quit their jobs
I quit medicine too ! 37 years after graduation and after 30 years in Pediatrics. It wasn't easy but it was all worth it. No regrets. Hang in there.
thats a retirement..its way different from quitting..you already made enough money off medicine.
I had three hernias repaired on March 21 of this year. I'm 75 and live in a cabin off grid in NW Montana. I have to cut my on firewood etc. I have always been fit, Thank God for that. I taught Jujitsu in the basement of the local bank here when I was sixty. Like I said, I've always been fit, but I have to tell you, yhe first week was just hell. Getting in and out of bed to go to yhe bathroom or put a log on the fire was near impossible. The second week was better and today Im back to working out. My surgeon told me that they have a new mesh and that the old one was problematic. He must've been right. I feel great. The first six weeks were sucky, but since then its been all down hill. If you do get hernia surgery, make sure to stay hydrated. Going to the bathroom can br very painful if you don't.
I'm also have gallbladder removed..Alhamdulillah in good healthy
I’ve had the same surgical hernia fixed three times.
Sadly, it’s just repeated busines$ for the surgeon$.
